Dupe Eliminator 6.3 for iTunes released

January 6, 2009

A maintenance release of our popular Dupe Eliminator for iTunes product has been released.

This release includes:

  • New dupe criteria “Song Name/Album”
  • New Preferences settings to set the color for duplicates and dead link entries
  • New ‘Use first N characters of Song Name’ allows for matching dupe criteria to use just the first N characters of the song name.
e.g. if wanted to match of the first 10 characters of the song name for  each track when matching dupe criteria instead of the full song name.
Useful for Song Names whose starting portion is very similar e.g. ‘Alan Parsons Project – Tales of Mystery and Imagination’ and ‘Alan Parsons – The Raven’.
  • Reorganized Preferences settings to make them more user friendly.
